Exubera Montefalco Sagrantino D.O.C.G. (2017) TERRE DE LA CUSTODIA

This remarkable wine is crafted from Sagrantino grapes grown in the La Palombara vineyard, where a challenging season saw a late frost and intense summer heat, leading to an early harvest. Careful vineyard management ensured optimal grape quality, with manual selection of the best bunches. The grapes underwent fermentation in steel, followed by malolactic fermentation and 18-24 months of ageing in French oak barriques, with an additional 12 months in the bottle. Intense and deep ruby color, on the nose are perceived notes of plum jam, candied orange, cocoa, tobacco, powder and cloves. In the mouth the balance is the distinctive feature, an unprecedented elegance despite a pronounced tannins typical of the variety that characterizes the sip and guarantees the aging potential. To age for 20 years. We recommend serving at a temperature of 20 degrees after careful decanting. Perfect with succulent dishes, fatty meats, braised.
